Aircel Delhi offers 5000 local mins. with ‘Super Dhamka 999′

Aircel Delhi has added a new plan in postpaid segment. In Delhi circle, Aircel was the last entrant in GSM segment and holds around 6.4 lakh subscribers as on Nov’09 . ‘Super Dhamaka 999’ comes with a rental of Rs 999 with 5000 local minutes and 99 minutes of STD. It also provides free 99 SMS (local & national). Calls to local mobile numbers are charged at 30p/min and 50p/min for local landline numbers. Calls rate for STD on Aircel numbers is 50p/min and Re 1.00 for other STD numbers. SMS charges are Re 1.00 for local and Rs 2.00 for national. Activation charge are waived off and roaming charges are Re 1 for incoming & outgoing local and Rs 1.50 for outgoing STD.

This plan may intice customers with heavy usage on local numbers rather than STD. 5000 local minutes are quite substantial for consumption and it may appeal to certain group of customers. But it is felt that with such a rental value STD rates should have been lower

along with higher free STD minutes. A similar plan is also offered by TATA Docomo by ‘ Super Diet 1099” plan, which offers 2500 local minutes and 1200 STD minutes.with call rate of 1p/ 2 sec for all local calls.

The plan has a benefit of 5000 free airtime minutes and 99 STD mins. It charges 0.5p/sec for Aircel to Aircel STD Minutes. Check This
